The oak of the Checche

It is a monumental tree located in Val d’orcia, Località le Queers, in the town of Pienza in the province of Siena. It is a specimen of oak (Quercus petraea).
The queer, or Carter, is the name with which the Magpie is indicated in Tuscany.
The mighty Tree boasts an approximate age of almost 300 years. It has a height of 19 meters, a trunk from the perimeter of about 4.90 meters and a canopy of over 34 meters diameter
